Some weeks ago I found a comment on the internet pointing out that one of the ice cores being analysed showed that there were CO2 increases that came after temperature increases, so CO2 couldn't have been the cause of the temperature increase.
The major contributors to Earth’s pattern of climate change are:
- rotation of its elliptical orbit (periapsis)
- its axial tilt
- the rotation of its axis (precession)
Secondary contributors are:
- variability in the Sun’s output
- variability of the cosmic ray flux.
Initial trigger of say ice ages, yes. CO2 acted as an amplifier, unlike now, where CO2 is the initial forcing driving temperatures up.
Ah, so that will be because the rise in CO2 is lagging behind the rise in temperature since the end of the Little Ice Age by about 150 years?
The real problem - as opposed to the hysterical bollocks spouted by activists - is that climate is a massively complicated dynamic system with multiple feedback, and non linear feedback, at that, paths within it.
That third rate scientists are trying to simulate with first order models with very few of the feedback paths incorporated as active subsystems, but merely as 'approximate constants'
TBH I'd look at using analogue computers to model it..
Anyway the actual accuracy of climate models is approximately complete bollocks.
You missed out plate tectonics: the relative placement of oceans, land masses and mountains makes a massive difference.
So ... nothing that any human can do anything to alter - even if they vote for the Green party ?
Proof by assertion...
Careful investigatuon of the deep past shows that if CO2 had the effect now claimed, the progress of Earths climate would have prohibited today's life forms.
Paleogeological volcanism has produced massive amounts of atmospheric CO2. Mostly it is associated with cold periods.
Of course a warmer ocean will outgas any dissolved CO2. If the climate was that sensitive to it runaway warming or freezing would have taken place.
In short the fact that we are here today is proof that the earths climate is relatively stable under changes of more than a few ppm of atmospheric CO2.
NOBODY expects the ClimateInquisition™!
By and large the global ecosphere is monumentally indifferent to the machinations of a single species.
It is the massive arrogance and ignorance of town dwelling Romantics who live in a man made environment to think that humanity creates the rest of the world.
ROFL
I think the word "approximately" is unnecessary. From what I can gather from the odd bits and pieces I can find online, the models use a constant value for the sun's output, so any prediction made using that falsehood is useless.
An interesting graph of the planet’s temperature over the last 485 million years:
And especially a constant value for clouds. Clouds are a massive negative feedback in maritime climates.
Which is precisely why the straightforward task of the quantitative analysis of atmospheric gases is being increasingly 'exclusified' with ever more exotic methodologies, so the plebs can't replicate the results the "experts" are getting and have no alternative but to accept them.
I did warn you not to have that lobotomy!
LOL! You'd have to be green to vote for that bunch of nutters.
They didn't factor-in oceanic re-absorption either.
