Short version: anyone know how to make contact with a human at Hermes?
I had a parcel delivered the other day. Not something I had ordered, and not even addressed to me (but to property with a similar hose name, but in a completely different street and postcode).
So I tried the web site; A "help" page where all roads lead to pages that don't address the topic, or to an automated assistant. So I try the assistant:
"Hi there, I'm Holly. To get started, do you have a tracking number?"
Options are Yes, No, and It's about something else. So I try its about something else.
"Tell me a bit about you..." with options Sending, Receiving, Returning to a Sender". So I try receiving
"Choose the most relevant from one of the following..." with one option "I need to report damage to my house or vehicle"
All other routes ultimately want the tracking number (helpfully adding it will be in the email I received from the sender!). There is a "I don't have this" option that means it instead asks the same question again. A second I don't have it, and it tells you to F'off, and "would you like to track another parcel?"
Aha, I found a phone number. Recorded (robot) message we are closed, please try Mon to Fri. Tried this morning. Automated robot assistant. Same logic as the web site, but this time with voice recognition. Same problem as the web site, no tracking number, can't help you.
Found a customer care email; automated response, we don't read these, please go to the web site! Grrrr
