I'd just love to see a cyclist fall over one of those.
And by the way, if an emergency vehicle can get over them, so can my car. Fuck you cyclists.

Man that is stupid and dangerous. Hope US does not follow this lead.
So the planters have nothing to do with keeping the traffic out of the cycle lane? Suspect they might keep emergency vehicles out as well...
We have had them here for some time, cut off bits of old car tyre is what they are. Brian
Better fire up the vintage chieftain tank ?
You're a bit late. Read what it says: "Much quicker and more cost effective to install than other solutions, Armadillos have been successfully installed and used by major towns and cities across Spain and in the USA for the past 7 years."
Surely you can drive a car over tyres? After all you're driving tyres over tyres.

I've never seen them here in the UK either, must be just a few areas that have adopted this rubbish.
A bit scary looking. I can see where it would make driver pay more attention but I can also see where they may cause more problems than they help. I guess time will tell their worth.
I suspect they'll be removed for causing accidents.

I doubt it, governments aren't that sensible. Take speedhumps for example, and how much criminal damage they do to suspension, making cars unroadworthy and dangerous in the process.
Slalom course for a motor cycle?
