One of those jobs...

Finally after ohhhh about 4 or more years, I've actually got myself a round-tuit and just purchased an EMWC twin-tank softner !! I even bought a bag of salt about 2 years ago tinking it might spur me on, well, now it's on it's way so I HAVE to do it!

I'll post back with how I get on. :¬)

Last one I saw was fitted in a kitchen cupboard. Salt spill or spray had corroded the door hinges right through, and ruined the woodwork around it.

Mine's piped up in a boiler room on the floor under the combi. Nothing but cement floor, plaster board, pipes, coats and boots so not a "show room" I expect a degree of salty water splashing occurs when emptying tablets into the unit.

On a further note, If a dishwasher is on a softened supply presumably one just needs to turn off the "salt empty" warning on the dishwasher?

Equipment.http://www.bodysolid-gym-equipment.co.ukhttp://www.trade-price-supplements.co.ukhttp://www.water-rower.co.ukI have an EMWC twin tank and it's wonderful. You don't really get any splashing as you fill the salt because there is only about 2cm of water at the bottom of the unit anyway. As you fill up before it's empty you never even see the water.

You're right, the dishwasher now no longer needs salt, mine has a setting for how hard the water is with the minimum being "softened".

I'm sure I'll wish I did the job many years ago. :¬)
