Mrs Pounder undertakes all shopping duties.
Mostly done mine. SWMBO is a bit pissed off that I bought that cordless drill...she could have got it for me. I pointed out that would have been like me buying her a set of saucepans, and she shut up...
Is it Christmas Eve already?
I thought it was only women that kept on about bloody Christmas

And the gf will soon wrap the presents and put my name on the gift tag for me.

My other half buys presents whenever she sees something she thinks suitable, particularly for the great grandchildren, and puts them in a cupboard. When it comes to Christmas or birthdays, she only needs to go into the cupboard and get presents out, so we don't do Christmas shopping.
I'm not doing Christmas. After all the outrageous behaviour last night at midnight, it seems we are getting like the Americans for being led by the nose to so called bargains. Brian

We had a long conversation about it;
Me: What do you want for Xmas?
Wife: I dunno.
Me: Oh. OK.
She has free rein to buy whatever she wishes. It must be difficult buying for the man who has everything.
What a pointless ritual it all is, but they say the economy would collapse without it. It's now one's civic duty to shop all year round
Which is why we, over the years, have paid less and less attention to it.
