Daub (no wattle).
No shit! ;-)
Bondage plaster?
Tubbypuss - just what grubby sites have you been visiting recently enough to retrain your spielchucker? ;-D ;-D ;-D
Hahaha!
Another entry on the armchair expert's long list of things you've never done then....
I knew it wouldn't be an ordinary school for you Grubbypuss! ;-)
Chortle!
I expect there'll be some attempt at mitigation involving "childish minds" in a lame attempt to dodge the obvious question why anyone's autocomplete would assume that starting to type "bonding" would assume you meant "bondage" :-D
Still I'll look forward to reading just how lame it will be ;-)
Anyone with an autocomplete that has been trained such that the user starting to type "bonding" should be autocompleted to "bondage" is clearly familiar with plenty of something else too...
;-);-)
So you're now saying you #meant# to type "bondage plaster" ?
:-D:-D yeah right!...
Think we now know what you're really polishing up on with your specialist "DIY"... ;-);-)
I certainly can't top your inciteful "contribution" of "Bondage plaster" especially in a thread is about "filling deep holes" ;-);-)
Until then it's back in the filter for you.
I'm not in your filter Grubbypuss, you daren't put me in...
...it'll be that grubby "voyeur streak" you got going on ;-);-)
AKA Grubbypuss's "bondage plaster" ;-)
Hang on, you sound like someone who's actually done it? Or are you another "## merchant" to keep an eye on? ;-)
I emailed Everbuild with the following question;
"Hi I run a handyman service and have used One Strike filler for years - wonderful stuff! Usually I'm never there to see it dry, but I used it in my own house to fill a hole left by a light switch, 4" x 4" x 1" deep over 2 weeks ago and it still seems soft. I can push it with my finger & leave a dent. Will it ever go really hard?"
Their reply;
"We are sorry to hear of the witnessed issue with the application of the One Strike Filler in this instance.
The One Strike Filler is a lightweight polymer filler which when fully dry the surface can be imprinted with a finger nail etc. Unlike a traditional filler, the product does not have the same hard, finished appearance."
Sounds really useful!
Do you really want something to become hard when you put a finger in it?
You've 'used it for years and regard it as wonderful stuff' when you've never actually properly assessed it?
I checked that aspect (hardness in larger areas) about 10mins after I first tried it; as a result I would only ever use it to fill pinholes.
It does say on the tub "dry" not "hard".
Personally I use cheap plaster.
Owain
I find it good stuff, but for deep holes the way I use it is to fill it once, wait until it's at the slightly soft stage, then tamp it in very firmly with my thumb, and fill it again ... I know that goes against the "one strike" nature of it, but I'm happy with the result.
LOL !
I use it then go home. First time I've ever had the chance to let it dry. Never had a customer complaint.
Is this why you've not been invited back to do more work for the customer?
What is a traditional Filler? Brian
