is they make a loud nosie everytime they coem on and you can hear it from the enxt room. It is kind of liek the water rushing into the pipe.

I had soemoen take a quick look at it whilst taking off my old electric shower (see my other thread) and he suggested that it might be due to the taps being the quarter turn ones - suggested maybe getting the normal screw types - coudl this do the tick?

The other thing he did was close the valve a little on each tap but I feel i may have to turn it way down comapred to what it is now and even then it makes noise.

We have pretty high pressure. So I am guessing it is something to do with that - any other suggestions??

Thanks

valves can cause noise as the water is compressed into the smaller space and when exiting the value. i did not quite understand what you have tried. i.e have you tried adjusting the valves both up and down?

I take it this noise does not disappear after a while i.e its not air in the pipes.

If you have an isolating valve before the taps, you could turn that down to give you the max flow you want and no more. Then the tap will only see part of the present water pressure at any given flow setting, so will be quieter.
