Actually, in the early part of the last century, a husband would often hand over his unopened wage packet to his 'stay at home looking after the kids' wife. She then looked after all the household expenses and gave the husband pocket money.
Before the days when most had current accounts.
There were those who didn't.

Everything that I enjoy involves being outside. This is driving me nuts.
However not nuts enough to do all those jobs I was setting aside for when I have more time.
However. 40m dipole is up. 10m is up and the 20m is going up. 40m HWEF is being relocated and the 2m ground plane is complete so it's not all bad news.

Doubtful that you will hear me from Fife to Glasgow. I'm not sure the ground wave will travel that far and you will be in the skip zone.
Just noticed that my name has changed, I did a clean reinstall of linux and lost my NG settings. My name should be back to normal now.

Try to keep things in perspective. Others have endured far worse. You can go out- I don?t believe you need to avoid going out at all, if you do forgive me. Likewise, I suspect you have a garden, probably a reasonably sized house etc. Some people are confined to small flats, possibly alone etc. - waiting for someone to drop off a food parcel. They won?t even see the person, other than from a distance through a window.
You see faces at Windows, some of which look strangely distant - as if they?ve just seen only other person in the world.
