So I moved to the latest T Bird.
Big mistake!
I have Yahoo mail as a fall back if I need to write/reply to someone using gmail.
Now every time I open T Bird I get my Yahoo mail sign in page:-( Repeated every few minutes:-( :-(
Any easy way of rolling back?
You can either move back, and remain permanently stuck in the past until it really breaks...
Or you can understand and fix it
The new Thunderbird is trying to respond to an OAuth2 authentication request from Yahoo. If you successfully sign in, you should be good.

I'm on 140.8 esr. I run gmail as a secondary e-mail there - Bad Things ™ haven't happened yet. I also have a yahoo account but I've not so far put it into Thunderbird, maybe I won't

Some of the changes in Thunderbird are from the likes of Yahoo tightening up the credentials of applications using POP3 credentials.
My main issue with Thunderbird is the changes for changes sake.
Once I had done the *OAuth2* bit and the *Thunderbird hidden preference configuration*. Mail reverted to normal.
