Resist the trend. Insist on safety razors and throw your multiblade crap away. (I have finally got myself an old fashonbed safety razor, and packs of blades simply because having tried everything else, I find that it actually shaves better and costs less).

Go back to simple stuff that you understand, can live with, and works.

Surely you should be using a cut throat razor?

I didn't get as far as that. I just thought "How the f**k are you supposed to grout those?" and told SWMBO we weren't having them.

And they're not even "metro" tiles as any of that format I've ever seen in public places (tube, old bogs) have always been flat.

Isn't it easier to simply write on the computer and print it out? Chances are the recipient will be able to read it too.

No idea but when I first saw this thread I thought it was an old windows thread about vista and Windows 8 as progressive attempts to turn windows into tablets seemed to fall on deaf eyes so to speak. as for real tiles, well nothing is ever new is it, everything comes around again. My Uncles house has them in a bathroom , it was his Mothers and she purchased it as a sitting tenant in the 30's and due to her Husband being semi disabled from WW1 and only able to do simple low paid work and she just being a char lady they never had much money after paying the mortgage and the bills so the place was never really modernised though the Luftwaffe did make some repairs necessary. It was fairly upmarket when built , indeed she moved in as a servant and the bathroom which still has the original tiles from when the house was built circa 1880 would have been quite a feature. They actually predate the Paris Metro which is where I think the present modern tiles get their name, The London tube has some interesting tiles but the white tiled look has been image of the earlier Paris Metro stations since they were built in the 1900's, unlike London the tiling usually goes over the ceiling.

Mine was built in '99. I'm worried one day it will die - I like it, and there is no modern equivalent.

I'm with John on those tiles though. And so is SWMBO...
