Maxigas butane

Mar 04, 2006 3 Replies

I have been given a freestanding spaceheater - thing like a small cupboard on wheels contining a bottle of, usually IME, calor gas. Mine has a Maxigas bottle in a delicate shade of white which claims to have been filled with butane.

A Google reveals nothing of use about Maxigas.

Anyone know the suppliers or where to find a stockist local to me (Sevenaoks, Kent TN14 postcode)

TIA

Richard

Just pick up a bottle of normal calor gas. If the regulator won't fit, many bottle stockists will give you a regulator that fits.

Most of the small gas suppliers have been taken over by Flogas

their local agent.

Some LPG suppliers will swap one sort of bottle for another, but Calor agents are picky and Calor is *expensive*

Butane is Butane. Beware of the fitting/regulator on top of the bottle, which may not fit other makers bottles.
