ERRATA...

I was in Bodgit Qwik today and they indeed sell MK Safety Plugs. I didn't "IIRC" though - only L+N are the same length, E is longer.

They're about 1.70 ish each...

Cheers

I'll go and have a look at them. Thanks.

Sylvain.

Even where the distance to the terminals is the same for all wires, you are supposed to leave the earth a little longer so that it is the last one that would pull out if the flex were pulled.

Indeed. I did correct my original posting, the distance earth is much longer anyway, my mistake on recollection. Interestingly, I did cut the wires to the spec on the little bit of paper supplied (though I added length to the exposed copper to get most of the way round the terminal) and it looks to me like live goes in with little to spare whereas the earth ends up with some slack. So MK seemed to have been allowed for it in their measurements.

Still lovely plugs compared to the crap I threw away (rewiring socket strips with longer flex) and now available in black as well as white. In fact I notice the only thing that's changed in the design is that L+N both have little coloured inserts to match the core colours.

Cheers

Tim
