Long connector to join into a ring main??

Two different bends, I think - one to secure components before soldering, versus another to improve the joint performance in use.

To make it mechanically secure before soldering. Haven't you been following the thread?

They use household TW&E in aircraft? ;-)

I?ve joined the spur cable with 2 JBs and a short length of T&E.

I will make it all compliant when I get a round tuit.

The Romans made water pipes by rolling sheet into a cylinder, then soldering the edge.

The ones in Pompeii are in perfect condition.

Which is of course the same way that you get away with using aluminium in contact with the atmosphere. Don't knock it!
