Lift Patch of Laminate Floor

Hi all

OK so now I'm mad (both cross and insane!). Put laminate down in the kids' rooms about 5 years ago.

2 years later, the floor in the lad's room had to come up for re-plumbing works, so all the beading was chiselled off the skirting. Plenty of repairing and sanding and repainting of skirting prior to re-fit and more beading. Guess what - heating pipes are now making serious clanging noises during expansion/contraction. The only real access is via the lad's room floor :(.

So - the question...

I believe the problem pipes are along the wall at one end of the bedroom, but this is the row of laminate that was laid first IIRC. So is there a way I can get say the first 2 laid rows of laminate up without having to strip the beading and lift the lot? If it all has to come up, then it will be carpet for that room from here-on-in.

TIA

Phil
