Laminate Flooring door bar - different heights

Sep 20, 2006 3 Replies

I am looking to laminate my living room and extend it into the hallway where it meets the kitchen and also an area just before the front door where there is sort of like a built in mat area sectioned off. Now when I laminate to these areas, the height of the laminate will be higher than the kitchen or the mat area.

If they were the same height I'd be using this:

this is not the case. What is the item I need where you have a door bar of sorts that handles two different levels? What's it called and where can I get it?

Thanx

It's called a reducer and it should be available from the vendor of the laminate. If not, try a specialist vendor of wooden floors.

Make one out of a chunk of hardwood.
