I need to make several JG Speedfit connections to 1/2" BSP male. This looks like what I need:-

... but will this go onto the sort of male connector where one would normally use PTFE tape? I.e. it's not like a tap where one would probably use a rubber washer of some sort to make the seal. The above looks like it's expecting to have a washer inside it. Am I in the land of taper BSP as opposed to parallel BSP?Am I confused or is there a somewhat different type of fitting that I need?
