Does such a thing exist?!
Just had a brain wave! What would be really good is a consumer unit that recorded load on circuits and power usage, and could be connected to a pc via a serial or ethernet link, to view reports on power usage etc?

It is not done a domestic consumption levels, but it is done at commercial levels. Nothing to stop you adding a CT to each circuit in a consumer unit.
...and obvious to one skilled in the art ?
