Industrial ext lead supplier

May 05, 2004 5 Replies

I am looking to buy an ext lead made with 18A Arctic cable (blue) and

16A insudtrial plug and trailing socket.

I can get the bits from TLC and make my own, but I wondered if anyone knows of a source (cheap) of ready made leads?

I would think 15M-20M would do the trick.

They come up on Ebay frequently.

Get the bits and make your own as it does work out cheaper. I know, I've tried everywhere.

Just about all slightly industrial places do a 14m lead, machine mart and the like. B&Q warehouse do them, don't know about the normal type. Caravanning equipment suppliers will have but they'll be pricey. Personally I always make my own, much cheaper. I've just made a 25m one for £2!

No idea.

But if you want 25m long 1.5mm^2 in black rubber, try Lidl at the minute - 7 quid

Crikey. 1.5mm TRS is 80p/mtr cut at TLC - so 20 quid for cable alone. Even

100 mtrs is 64p/mtr - all plus vat, of course.
