Finally getting around to getting an impact driver and I'd appreciate some input on which one to get.
I generally get away with using my Site (rebadged Makita, special offer from Screwfix about a year ago) driver most of the time for general drilling and screwing. Use my DeWalt SDS+ for masonry work. Looking for an impact driver to help out with the jobs that the Site struggles with - long screws, and driving into timber without drilling pilot holes - but for which the SDS+ is too bulky to be convenient.
I'm sure the first suggestion will be Makita, but Makita impact drivers go up to £300+ and that seems like overkill for me, as I won't be using every day.
Are there any brand/model recommendations (especially any current special offers).
TIA, Piers
