this is from the front cover of The Pengun Book of French Stories.It looks familiar to me yet Google picture search can'tidentify it. Reminds me of the Odalisque by Ingres but its not that
Anyone recognise it ?

Not personally, but TinEye says
"THE BATHER. La Baigneuse. Oil by J.A.D. Ingres."
Many thanks. I'm not familiar withe the picture but thought it defnitely had an Ingres look about it
