Or is it that blokes do not look properly?On Friday I was swapping four spotlight MR16 12V lamps and transformers with GU10 lamp holders and GU10 LED lamps.One of the spring clips that holds the lamp in place went flying and I could not find it in the very small kitchen.So after 15 minutes of searching I though "Fuck it, I'll pick another one up from the works stores and fit it on my way to a party in Donny on Saturday" I did not have the time to mess about on Friday as other jobs needed doing and the apartment was unoccupied.So on the way to the party I had Lou with me and she came into the apartment and knows exactly why we were there and what I had done.We walked into the kitchen and she said "Is that the clip you lost?" and pointed to it in the middle of the kitchen floor.

... or rolling a flashlight on the floor. The beam highlights anything on the floor.

I use the large magmount (around 7 inch dia) for the whip aerial I use for my mobile amateur radio operations in the car. To prevent any fine debris it picks up sticking directly to the magnet (where it's difficult to remove) it's best to have something over the magnet - such as a polythene bag. For 'sweeping' a flat, fairly level surface, I attach the whip, and use it dangle the magmount. It's amazing what you find!
