How bad would non-matching bathroom look?

In terms of colour, I think these days "white" is pretty much "white" as far as bathroom furniture goes. I've certainly mixed and matched before (including when just replacing one broken appliance) and never come across any problems. See what others have to say about this though.

You may find it's more important to match styling (which you seem to have done) than an exact matching white.

Proximity between units may affect the perception of match too.

I've a mixture of Ideal Standard from two different ranges for loo and basin, and a Bette steel bath or steel shower tray - there's certainly no sign of colour mismatch, even close up.

If they're all white, I don't think you'll notice. I've got a Roper Rhodes basin, Ifo toilet, and Ideal Standard bath, and you wouldn't know the difference.

I fretted a bit about this before buying a Bette bath and a Villeroy & Boch basin and pedestal for the refurb of my small bathroom a few months ago - especially as V&B offer various types of white, none of which I could ever find a proper explanation for. No worries; one's white and the other's white and they go together fine. Do take a bit of care over designs though - angular vs curvaceous etc.

If you and, more importantly, swmbo are happy with your chosen combination then fear not. We went through a similar rebuild May-Sept 2009. Choosing the white stuff to bath/shower/wash/etc* in took months prior to this. Now 99.9% complete and we are very happy with the results. The finer details perhaps deserve equal or more consideration, such as lighting/ambience, heating, extraction, storage and so on. Ease of use~ you will be spending a great deal of money on this. Also spending a great deal of time in the room. Make it comfortable, easy to use and easy to keep clean. Just to throw a spanner in the works, also factor future maintenance into the equation.

Colour match is more important between items in the same material - it doesn't matter if the bath is a bit different, but looks odd if the basin and toilet are too dissimilar from each other.

I did a cloaks with gear from bathaholic after Mary (on here) said nice things abt them - the gear is good, some modern designs, nice prices (!) - no probs yet.

I agree. Modern brilliant white is pretty universal, which is more than you can say for older whites. My loo upstairs has a newish WC, and an early 20th century Royal Doulton washbasin and pedestal. Both are white viewed in isolation, but next to the WC, the basin looks decidedly green ;-)

I'd love to post a pic of our botch and (mis)match master bathroom but I don't want to disturb the missus (she's asleep) - we currently have a "dirty pink" bath, basin and toilet pan, and the cistern is a "depressing grey" (it's only a temp fix until we revamp it in a couple of months - the original pink cistern was inadvertantly broken while vinyl went on the floor...)

The tiles are sort of an even more-mismatched "cloud effect" pink, and the finishing touch is the artex on the ceiling and completely out of place border strip on the one un-tiled wall.

We inherited it when we bought the house, and it's coming out asap !
