Mine didn't have the big sticker on it.

If it had had a big sticker on it, it might not have disappeared.

We had some workmen leave a ladder. Rang them and rang them but they don't answer and they've never come back for it.

tis funny as they'd told us how they'd left a ladder at the previous job and the bloke never answered the phone when they rang him...

If thats the last place you had it I'd go back and drop something off for them and just mention it again... ask if it could have been nicked from outside their property maybe

I'd check the quality of their work then just in case they have a reason for not answering your call ;o)

We had some workmen take our ladder. Somehow I didn't think the two mismatched wellies they left in return was a fair swap.

They could hardly have nicked it while you were actually on it.

If they don't return it - tell them that further steps will be taken................

Tell em they have overstepped, and you have the power to escalate matters?

If I rung them up, would I be treading on anyone's toes?

Go and see the lady and stringer along. Tread carefully, though.

Knewl you would riser to the challenge!

They may rail against you if you're not their stile.

Or take offence at me nosing around.

OTOH, if they like the pitch, he could rake it in.

Can we string this out much further?

As Sherlock Holmes would say, it's a lot of bull, Lestrade.
