HomeBase have a floor standing LED light strip inspection light on offer at the moment (can't find it on the web site).
Stands about a metre tall and looks quite useful for a work light and also general illumination for camping, caravanning, garden parties, visits by the Queen etc.
Anyone tried one?

Well, went out and bought one.
Made by Eiger and just under £30.
Dumb bunny moment when I unfolded it and it had one of the light strips pointing each way, and nothing obvious in the instructions about rotating the top half.
Gentle twisting didn't seem to move anything and I was reluctant to be too firm so took it back to check.
Turns out that the top rotates through 180 degrees with a firm twist.
So far, very impressed. Suits my needs for a portable light on a stand for doing important things to a caravan in the dark and could have other uses as well.
Note: damp proof but not fully waterproof.
Could be similar out there but a suitable toy.
