We have two tall narrow mirrors brought from our last house which I now want to hang. I tried steel pins from B&Q but the just bend taking a small chunk of plaaster with them.
When I did the same things years ago, the pins were fine.
I suspect they didn't come from China.
I guess it is plugs and screws again!

Well, sure, mirrors aren't all light things. A rawl plug and a screw may do the job.

Modern mirrors can be VERY light. They can be made from the similar thickness of glass used for mobile phone/tablet toughened glass screen protectors and rely on the hardboard backing and frame to stop them breaking. They are liable to crack if you try and remove them from the frame - I have the T shirt.
I have such a mirror 1m x 0.6m hung on a tiled wall using those 3M sticky Velcro type pads (Commando) and it has remained in place for many years.
