gmail bouncing messages

Do you send via the SMTP server provided by hosts.co.uk? Your SPF record won't work if you use any other relay host ...

Gmail are very fussy about what they will accept - it can be difficult to send to them!

If you want, send me an email, and I can look at the headers and see if there is anything that is likely to make your email less palatable to gmail.

As a workaround, you could send the reply from another address... (even if you have to create a gmail / outlook etc account to do it).

Hopefully I have enabled DKIM for mail. However, I was unable to add DMARC (using Namesco) My screen did not match their instructions.

Oh well. I'll see if DKIM achieves anything.

I prefer not to have multiple mail files cluttering up T Bird. Which reminds me, I still need to learn how to back up important mail to a hard drive!

Thunderbird v115.13.0 With the email open choose 'File' (top left) then Save As Save as 'File' as opposed to Template In the 'Save Message As' window that opens, navigate to where you want to save the email Name the file. My preference is to start with the date (of the file) then a relevant name Select the type of file in the drop down box

- email will open in your default email programme (Thunderbird ?)

- HTML will open in your default browser

- Text will open in your default text programme eg Notepad

- All files. don't know, never used (& can't be bothered to look it up) :)
