Gas feed to boiler goes outside?

In our house the central heating was fitted before we moved in. It is a Worcestor combi boilder and everything is working fine except I am wondering about the gas feed to it. Because of the shape of the house and the fact that the boiler is in the kitchen and the kitchen has a concrete floor, the feed pipe comes out of the wall outside from underneath my dining room, along and up a bit of wall and in again through the side of the kitchen to the boiler.

Is there any problem with this? Can cold weather cause any damage to a gas pipe like a water pipe?

Thanks.

I don't know about the other aspects of it, but no cold weather can't like it can with water - because there is no water to freeze and expand causing the pipe to burst.

It's fine so long as it's properly supported.

Perfectly acceptable but stand-off type clips rather than the single pin tight to wall clips are required to prevent leaves/dirt trapping between pipe and wall and leading to slow corrosion

Depends whether it's cold enough round your way for the gas to freeze, basically. That would be about -183 deg AFAIK. Otherwise - no problem.

:) I don't think it gets quite that cold...

I was thinking more along the lines of excessive contraction/expansion causing strain on joints and causing a leak. Sounds like it should be okay though.
