so gas isn't dangerous-there's a relief. Perhaps they will change the law so that any bonehead that thinks he's got it sussed can play around with it? god help us all.

Statistically, it's not dangerous. Very, very few people are killed by DIY gas installations. And, anyone who thinks they've got it sussed can legally install gas appliances for themselves.
And may god help you work out how to work a newsreader.
