Fixing worktop upstands

One job outstanding with my kitchen is to fit the upstands to the back of the worktops. Rather than wait for the builder to come back, I might as well do it myself.

Just wondering what adhesives to use. The laminated upstand has a bare chipboard bottom edge and I am guessing I need to fasten it to the wall as well as to the worktops.

What do you recommend?

Last time I used them, a screwed them to the edge of the worktop, from the back, then fitted the worktop.

Worktops fitted as we dithered over whther to have glass or wooden upstands. Hence all fitted.

Only option is to glue them to the wall, and then seal the gap with silicone etc. (or use one of the MS glue / seal combination products)

CT1.

Most builder merchants of repute have it. Used it on my upstands. Sticks almost anything to everything
