Fibreglass insulation around double wall flue

Just a quick check.

I was proposing to use Rockwool as insulation around the area in the roof where the SS stove flue is flashed in.

There is a howling gale coming through there at the moment.

However I have some fibreglass available and as far as I can tell this is not inflammable - certainly not at external flue temperatures.

So any reason tot to use it as an insulating and draught proofing material in the immediate area where the flue exits through the roof?

Different strategy for the rest of the roof.

Cheers

Insulating sleeves of rockwool/fibreglass are available to fit the spiral wound twin wall flue so should be OK.
