'Engraved' type sign wanted

May 09, 2010 10 Replies

I'm looking for a supplier of the engraved type signs you often see on hospital doors as identifiers. They appear to be made from laminated plastic in which the 'message' has been created by cutting through the top layer to reveal a differently coloured layer below.

TIA

Traffolyte

or Traffolite.

Most people that do engraving will carry some stock

Most cobblers do this kind of thing. Timpsons?

Local engravers, most sign makers.

Depending on how many you want and how creative you are, we used to make nice ones at school simply by cutting out the top layer of a piece of plywood.

Buy a Les Paul guitar , remove the scratchplate and send the rest to me to dispose of safely

Thanks for the help: a few suggestions to follow up in the morning.

I use these guys.
