I caused a short circuit when working in the central heating. I assumed that it had knocked out the RCCD but when I went to reset it the RCCD is on and the mcb for the downstairs ring main is on but nothing on the DS ring main is working.
What have I done. All the other circuits are working, just the down stairs ring main is not working.

The obvious one would be the MCB has failed - or the wiring to it, etc.
The central heating part should be fed via an FCU with a suitable fuse.
