Economy 7 and storage heater supply issue

Another possibility would be loss of neutral to the off-peak consumer unit. Tail dropped out of a terminal, etc. That would stop the heaters heating even though you have a live meter output.

I would try and get an electrician or a knowledgeable sighted person out.

If it is your supplier's fault, contact your Member of Parliament. They have high-level contacts within the utility companies and may be able to get something done more quickly than the normal call centres. MP's offices at House of Commons is tel: 020 7219 3000 or there is a directory here

Except none of those are 'Economy 7' the clue is in the name.

There are of course many other historic variations 'White Meter', RHT1, etc which have the hours you mention.

I did try, but it was rather rambling, so accept my apology if I missed the important question.

Seems like it, and to be fair, probably the best solution if you can't see well enough to DIY safely.

An update. Today I found a telephone number buried under another number from the web site right at the end of a lot of waffle recorded message, and rang it. Held on for 20 minutes listening to inane music on speaker. Got to speak to a lass from Newcastle, who said there were only 10 staff on over the holiday, and that she could only move on lack of supply or a dangerous issue but she would put a note on my account but to book an appointment I had to ring back tomorrow when normal levels of staff and the ability to make appointments would be back. So, do what some wumin do when they break down and claim to be a vulnerable single mother with a child in order to jump the queue with the breakdown companies.

In your case, press ALL the test buttons on your mcb's then report total lack of supply and that you (genuinely) can't see which reset buttons to press.
