Another issue is that many holiday areas have barely adequate GP, pharmacy and hosptial facilities for their permanent populations. They simply could not cope with all the second homes, holiday cottages, etc., occupied permanently.

People on holiday do, of course, have accidents, but they don't usually need repeat prescriptions, hospital appointments and even covid-19 care.

The shops have also been struggling to supply permanent residents. (A lot of peole who did try went to the shops and tried to buy bog roll, hand sanitiser, beans, pasta and all the other things that were in short supply.

And it'll all be your fault anyway for not being there.

I didn't mention paramedics as unlike you I don't feel it necessary to always state the bleedin' obvious.

I don't think AA drivers steal cars, if they are towing you sit in your car and help with braking and steering.

The chances are that most of their stock of paint in their outlets went days after lockdown started and they don't seem to be replenishing stocks. They seem to be only maintaining supplies of "essential" items such as electrical which may be related to safety.

I've tried for paint and found zero stock at their outlets and they are not delivering these items - not available for home delivery and not available for click and collect (even at a future date indicating no deliveries of the same to the outlet).

I decided to repaint my garden sheds, but ran out of 'paint' Hunt on line, find Homebase have that particular colour so order and pay for a can and pay extra for delivery. That was 3 weeks ago. Yet. I'm bomarded with emails offering stuff delivered to my home.
