Cup washers and screws

Hi all. I'm going to use brass cup washers with screws. Are cup washers designed to use with bog standard counter sunk screws?

Yes (preferably *brass* bog-standard ones!)

The washers are sold sized by the screw size they fit eg 8, 10, 12 etc
