Store Reviews? Compare and contrast with:
I normally keep out of spats like this but this is verging on a case for Trading Standards.
Andrew
F**k me, as Gordon Ramsey would put it. There's more here as well:
Ouch! I suspect lots of T&C pages get "lifted" but borrowing "reviews" is a very hooky.
the "other half" of the reviews seem to originate from here
your comments will be removed nothing wrong with my website cheers dudes

Business a bit slack today? You have had the time to arrange a court case, to sort things out with Google's legal team in the course of one morning (when they are still in bed in the US). Never mind googlegroups, the thread is in all the usenet servers, by the way.
Would they be the happy customers of SVP Communications, whose customer comments you have copied for use on your website?

Getting worried, are we? Lots of other news servers have the posts, even if Google take any notice (which I doubt).

Not to mention diybanter, I expect.

So far I haven't input anything into this 'discussion' but may I take the 'comments will be removed' as a threat to attempt to access my newsreader's data files without permission? Good luck with that one :-)
Verging? As far as I can tell every "Store Review" on "Cornwall Electricals" website is a review taken from the web of other stores.
A couple of examples:
"by Mrs I W, 06 February 2008 I ordered a Zanussi 16281 washing machine on 28th January. Very competetive price and it was delivered (to East Lothian) on 5th Feb (the day of my choice) within the time slot advised. I was particularly impressed with the young lad and lass who delivered it, they were extremely courteous and pleasant. 10/10 for the Co-op."
"On 08-11-2007 22:08, LouBarlow said: Ordered at 2.45pm and received the next day. You can't beat that."
Edward, Cornwall Electricals are making false representations about their business. See their "Store Review" page and do a Google search on any of the "reviews". You will find that each one of them is taken from another website.
This is misrepresetation and Trading Standards take this seriously, but only if the complainant is a custoemr who has been defrauded by the misrepresentation. That seems to mean you. Cornwall TS state that you must complain to TS in your own county first then they will pick up the complaint from there.
How strange, because Cornwall TS don't seem to agree with you. They find quite a bit wrong with your website.
oh yeah like what?
I first thought that this guy "Cornwall Electrical" was a semi-literate petty crook, but reading his responses I now wonder if he is a Mental Health case.
Allegedly forged customer comments for a start...
