In a nutshell, how do you connect a siphon with a 2" outlet to a 1.5" flush pipe (i.e. the pipe that runs from the cistern to the bowl)? A brief Google suggests either a new "tapered" flush pipe or a solvent weld reducer. I'd really rather use a compression joint for ease of access. Thanks for any info

Information here may be outdated?
I have recently used an L-shaped pipe which tapered around the bend - the two arms were different diameters. Plumbers merchants have them.
