ceiling light fitting, how to release? I need to get the wiring, but I am missing a clue.

Looks exactly like the one I posted a pic of a few months back with the same question. If it is the same, it's held in rather like your petrol filler cap, by two flange clips, and turning it one way or the other should bring them opposite two slots cut in the plasterboard to let them through.

Don't recognise the fitting but doesn't the black tab move inwards releasing the black bit from the white bit and allowing the black bit to drop? Perhaps there are two tabs?
