Cable Connector

Normally when I need an 'eye' termination on a piece of flex, I would use standard insulated crimp on terminals. In this instance the standard range of eye crimp-on terminals are too small. I need to add terminations to an item to be connected across a 12V (car type) battery. This requires 'eyes' that will fit 10mm studs on the battery connectors. I can find uninsulated crimps that will suit 10mm studs, but these are for 75mm cable, the cable size I want to collect is less than

1.5mm i.e. Red insulated connectors would suit.

Anyone aware of crimp on large Diam eyes, that suit small cables.

Common enough need, but local stockists seem blind to it.

Unfortunately probably too expensive on postage as they are sites in Australia ... does prove they do exist though.

Just ask the same question, "Red crimp 10mm" on ebay

Both 2.89 + vat /100 & CPC have free post on all orders at the mo (note special instructions via link on home page).

Actually there appears to be a cheaper red:

1.35 + vat and I can't spot the difference

The insulated sleeve may foul on the battery terminals and need trimmed back.

Have you considered drilling the tab of a large terminal and bolting or riveting a small terminal to it?

I just did and just, ordered ..26 if them for £1.75

I had been looking at TLC etc., and they only had large size eye in the uninsulated ver for large conductor sizes. Glad I asked here.

Since it is for a car? battery, once of the car electrical suppliers like Vehicle Wiring Products is a better bet than a ordinary electrical place.
