Does anyone else use this service and if so are you having any problems in the last few days? Also can anyone give me the number for self initiated line test? Thanks in advance

I sometimes get people send SMS to my landline number - then the BT robot phones and reads them to me....
17070Will get you to ringback and quiet line test options. More exotic tests you can normally do via your line providers web site.
I have a gigaset system which can actually receive and send sms texts.

Unnecessarily if your phone understands SMS.
I had to turn the text service off on my Virgin Land line as I was getting inane texts from scammers and advertisers. If people want to talk to me talk, if people want to text, text my mobile. Brian
