Are women just sexist?

Doesn?t interest them presumably.

How the hell can that horrible, boring, big mouthed Feltz creature even get paid for broadcasting? Before I retired I used to set off Very early and turn the wireless in my vehicle on. When I heard her voice I turned the wireless off. Horrible creature!

British Gas (not my idea) came out and serviced the boiler in the loft a couple of weeks ago. Charming young lady. I went up into the loft to put the Christmas tree and assorted shit back the other day and noticed that the magcleaner was dripping water. I'm not gonna have a go. Back come British Gas. Bloke sealed the leak within 10 mins. I asked him what the problem was, he just shook his head and wished me a good day.

Isn't that sexist though?

One definition I came across was "a single-minded expert in a particular technical field". That fits fairly well.

Not on my 2017 Toyota. Gauge, needle starting at zero on the left, rotating clockwise to max at the right. A simple enough concept.

Nope, just a fact. Same as few men are into knitting.

Really?

The UK's power consumption ... after all, it's still going to happen if anyone looks at it (Gridwatch) or not!

HTH.

Actually, even when the driver has absolutely no intention of doing his own maintenance or repairs, a basic knowledge of internal combustion engines and transmissions can go a long way to reducing the number of repair visits to the garage provided the driver is able to gain an appreciation of how to make best use of its controls to minimise needless stress on the machinery of the vehicle and obtain the best economy out of both fuel and tyres.

In a way, that could apply to the grid to a very limited extent but it seems very unlikely that a big enough fraction of the population would adjust their usage to make any discernible impact other than by the usual incentives of tiered economy tariffs.

Possibly, but I suspect they wouldn't really understand what they were looking at anyway. They don't understand the difference between power and energy, nor between MW and MWh; they're just not technical people.

There must be.

Women enjoy talking, shopping, and 'being pampered'.

Men enjoy sitting in silence, looking at tool catalogues, and go to the barber if they have to.

How much of the donations do you give to the originators of the raw data ?.

I think you are skating on the proverbial thin ice doing this.

They smell money, but usually the type that comes to them for for 'free', rather than what they give away.

And I suspect they are the only people who do look at it, to convince themselves that we can survive on wind and solar alone.
