Am just about to replace my living flame gas fire with a different model - has anyone any uptodate info on the likely cost of having it installed by a corgi fitter - and how to find a reputable one?

The answer to the second part of your question is the same as finding good tradespeople generally. i.e.
- Trial and error or
- Recommendation
As many of the frequenters of this group won't do their own gas work, perhaps someone on here who can recommend a fitter - if you can say roughly where you live.
