I need to replace the copper tubing for my outside unit. Will this be expensive, A friend tried to solder the leaks in the pipe but, It did not work.
The pipe probably won't cost much, but getting a specialist in to do the work likely will. The pipe carries fluids at high pressure and replacing it is not a DIY job. However, if the copper pipe is failing, I would look very carefully at the air handling unit and heat exchanger, to see whether they are not also on their last legs.

These pipes are not supposed to be soldered, they should be brazed.
I guess you will need some more refrigerant too if the current pipe is leaking?
Due to the tools required and the actual refrigerant needed, this is not usually DIYable :-(
