The line was "Like the Roman, I seem to see the River Tiber foaming with much blood", quoting Virgil (if inexactly).

Misquoting it (deliberately, I should say, in many instances), is the equivalent of insisting that Callaghan said "Crisis? What crisis?".

I wonder whether certain people understand the meaning of the word "worship".
