Anyone know where I could get a 28mm stop valve? I can find any number of 22mm ones but the pipe to my shower in the airing cupboard is 28mm for some reason and it would be good to fix a stop valve on before replacing the hand mixer shower

Having done some replumbing about 30 years ago, I seem to remember that
28mm fittings worked on 1" pipe. It was 3/4" and 22mm that gave the problem.In article , Janet Tweedy writes

10458 about half way down the page, 6.13 + vat + post which is full flow ie 28mm all the way through.
Item 19567 is WRAS approved but has a max temp rating of only 65deg C, should be fine but I'd prefer a bit of margin.
For that size, lever action will be easier than butterfly.
