My lopsided apple tree

the main stem of my apple tree looks dead but is still growing from a huge branch on the side. I get loads of apples from it but it's practically hanging on the floor and looks a mess. Should I try to prop up these side growing branches or should I prune it all back in autumn.

1/4" 4x8 5 or 7 ply plywood ?

Story I heard was when they were picking a name, some said it was American as Apple Pie, and that morphed into Appleply Hard to find a stocking dealer, I would have to drive 300-400mile to find it in stock BUT, it is great plywood, everybit as good as the Baltic/Finnish/Russian Birch for ...

"Self Seeded" Flowerbed -- Fall Cleanup

I'm looking at 1 fig tree to join my 3 cherry and 2 apple trees. Poosbly a 3rd apple tree (pink Lady) which cross pollenates with my Granny Smith (whi also cross pollenates with the Golden Delicious. I live in Virginia Beach so not many red types of apples grow here. That's ok.

Banana Tree Question

Just before a freeze, remove the bananas and put them indoors in brown paper bags with an apple. The apple off gasses and promotes ripening. See if that works. Unless you have a known variety which will provide edible fruit, there is no way of telling how they'll taste. victoria

what to do with turnip greens?

Chop a tart apple and a sweet onion fairly fine. Saute them in a large pot with 2-3 tablespoons of good olive oil. When they are tender toss in the wa shed, chopped greens and 1/2 cup of water or stock, cover with a tight fitt ing lid. Steam until tender and salt to taste.
