Which plate Joiner?

I bought a 1" x 2 1/2" adapter and duct tape the 1" end to the PC and hook my shop vac to the other end. I do this when I have about 300 slots to make. No dust. Between the PC and the shop vac I wear ear protection. Regards

Grizzly Bandsaw G0513 , which mobile base ?

I have the Shop Fox G7314 Heavy-Duty Shop Fox® Mobile Base from Grizzly and it works fine. Somewhere around $60. Like someone else has observed, put a piece of plywood in it before putting the saw on it so that lower door will clear.

Cedar Pegola question

Yes, I've looked around internet including local fine woodworking shop and they probably have the nicest design of treillis and pergolas you can buy. Local shop makes it really expensive to buy it as is though (20k$ for a 40 feet). That led me to the path of making it myself.

Workshop Communication

I feel that a phone in the shop is a must. If you need help (911) it is there and if you get a call that must be taken it is better then a walk in to the house with all the other distractions that will bring. I have a phone and a gmrs intercom in the shop to contact the outside world ...

Is this a pro shop or hobbyist shop? If it is a business you may do better selling everything as a package. You could try posting a list of items here for starters. Sorry to hear of your disability. I hope things get better for you.

Brand Loyalty?

My shop is a mix of Jet, Grizzly, Craftsman, Delta, Dewalt, Black&Decker, and Bosch. I read the reviews on each piece of equipment I'm considering, I read the boards and forums, epinions.com, check the magazine reviews, then consider cost vs features to get the best return on investment.

Drop in replacement for R22

Speaking of towns BTW: Amboy, California just sold last year for under $500,000 and you got your own auto shop, coffee shop, gas station, hotel, and post office. [The post office is still in operation.] And an air strip with two run-ways and radio tower.

small gloat and small problem

Take it to a metal shop with a tray of coffees.... I had to remove a hardened steel door pin from a hinge on my jeep, seized in there really good. I took it to a metal shop around the corner from me and stood back while 4 guys worked for 20 minutes to get it out.
