Almost straight hooks, do they have a special name?

You may well have got there by now but searching the supply sites for shop fitters shows a fair range of such things . A walk in most medium sized towns early in the morning usually finds a skip outside some shop changing owners ,such items are often there for the taking. ...

PM-66 Rip fence

I was going to paint everything white once I got the ceiling up but I'd rather spend time working *in* the shop than *on* the shop so I'm not sure when I'll get around to putting the ceiling in.

Peculiar Cyclone Question

IIRC, when "Wood Works" did the show on David's shop, they showed his cyclone emptying onto a big pile out behind the shop ... if you have the room, and make a lot of sawdust, it's not a bad idea.

Help Explain Please

I do not use a dial indicator in the (wood) shop and I will put up my results against anyone's. No test cuts needed. Done entirely by feel. I do have a couple of dial travel indicators, one test indicator and a couple of dial calipers in the shop. Rarely ever used

mobile base recommendation

Due to selling the old house with a BIG shop, the shop is being downsized into a space that is gonna require a mobile base for the tablesaw. Any suggestions for a mobile base for this (large) saw? Thanks in advance...

case handle ideas

What's a hobby shop? Oh wait a minute! A hobby shop! Yeah, I remember those. They used to be all over the place until online shopping and Wal-Mart put them all out of business. I found some online hobby shops to sell me brass stuff, but that just feels fundamentally wrong.

Menards "Tool Shop" Drill Press?

They have a ton of stuff on Amazon.com and if it is really USA made, some of it will likely make it to my shop. I wouldn't mind a USA made drill press for twice the cost of a Tool Shop model. Brian Elfert

Small Wood Gloat

I think that's something I'd slip into the Well since my shop is my garage, it would have been hard to slip something that big by her. If/when I get a separate shop, then that would be easier... disassemble and cut it up before it could be discovered where it came from.

Roof top filter changes

Well Chris it is like this $110 per/hour from the shop back to shop! $0.80 per mile where is location of filters do you need 20 foot latter do you need mechanical jack/lift do you need to stay overnight $50.00 food per diam $???? motel ETC. all need to be itemized!!!

heating workshop

I plan to heat my insulated 210 sq ft ww shop with a 240v, 4800w construction heater. I have had a subpanel installed in garage. Shop is converted attached garage. Location is ON, Canada. Question is...any issues I should be concerned about? Thanks for any replies
