Roof top filter changes

Oct 13, 2010 13 Replies

I've been asked to provide a quote, to change air filter for 8 roof top units. In different cities. Farthest one is about two hours drive.

All of them are at malls. Not sure which ones have roof hatches, or miserable mall management that doesn't work with contractors.

What factors go into pricing out such a job? I know. You can't help it if I don't charge enough.

Wow ! Your first big job in ten years !

Maybe you can get an advance so you can buy the filters ?

to do the work.

You're not qualified for the job.

He's not qualified to go to the supply house for the filters for someone ELSE to change.

Everyone except H-I-M knows that.

I can picture his company ' equipment inspection report' form, the one he designed to encapsulate all his knowledge :

( Check one )

1 ) Unit was running | |

2 ) Unit was not running | |

3 ) Could not find unit | * |

4 ) Could not find building

5 ) Car would not start | |

6 ) Couldn't afford gas to go to job site

7 ) Could not learn even when content was taught repeatedly | | 8 ) Could not find ass with both hands and a flashlight. | | 9) Could not pour piss out of a boot with the instructions written on the heel. [ ]

10 ) Checked wrong unit. See follow-up service report

2.5 ) Could not tell if unit was running or not, making funny noises

Oscar: how is oysters down there this days I am planning next year in June to visit bayou country perhaps for couple weeks and I will defiantly be looking forward too eat some Louisiana oysters', craw fish and some red fish I know there are some rules over red fish so is a speed limit on HWY you know what I mean!

You need to refer them to someone who is qualified to provide a proper bid and to do the work.

Well, that gives me a bit of an idea to work with. Much of the details, just totally not sure. I've not been to most of these malls. So, I don't know if they have roof hatches, or if I have to pull a ladder. Details like that.
