On Sun, 16 Mar 2008 23:22:00 +0000 someone who may be Andy Hall wrote this:- Did you ask to pay taxes, including local taxes? If you did not ask to pay them, do you still pay them or do you refuse to pay something you didn't ask for?

vinegar dissolves water deposits??

The main ingredient of any vinegar is acetic acid and white vinegar is just dilute acetic acid so it is cheaper that the fermented product (wine or apple cider vinegar). Depending on your deposits, vinegar may work poorly or very slowly. Try using CLR, if the vinegar doesn't do the job.

OT: Just a thought.

The rest is now WiFi. 2 iMacs, a G4 for email and browsing, an Apple Powerbook, and 2 PC's, one of which is a laptop, a laser printer and an AppleTV going to my plasma via HDMI. Flawless performance.

Chopping kindling on hard standing - axe protector?

The Apple approach. I'm obviously (holding) doing it wrong. Assume that I have assessed the risk and have chosen a mitigation that I feel is appropriate. Learning that your chosen way of doing things isn't always the best for everyone else might be a better approach.

Laptop stuck in Airplane mode

If its an Apple device, normally this tends to be a hardware fault, but lets hope not. Brian

No blooms on pear trees after 5 years

You did not mention what kind of root stock these trees were on, but this can explain their taking longer to bloom than your apple trees. Sherwin Dubren Lee's wrote:
